How to Apply Your Press-On Nails (The Right Way ✨)
Whether you’re using sticky tabs or glue, these steps will help you get the longest, cleanest, most comfortable wear from your press-ons.
Before You Start
Make sure your nails are clean and ready for a fresh set.
Remove any old polish, gel, or product.
Wash hands with soap and warm water, then dry thoroughly.
Having clean, dry nails helps the tabs or glue stick properly and prevents lifting later.
1. Prep Your Natural Nails
This is the most important step — good prep = better hold.
Push back your cuticles using a cuticle pusher to create more surface area.
Lightly buff the surface of each nail to remove shine (gentle is enough).
Wipe each nail with an alcohol pad to remove oils, dust, and moisture.
Tip: Avoid hand cream or oils before application — they prevent proper adhesion.
2. Using Sticky Tabs (Skip to next step for Glue)
Perfect for short-term wear (1–3 days) and a damage-free removal.
Select the correct tab size for each finger — it should fit neatly without touching the skin.
Peel the tab and apply it to your natural nail.
Press firmly to secure and smooth out any air bubbles.
Remove the top film.
Line up your press-on nail and press down firmly for 10–15 seconds.

3. Applying with Glue
Best for long-lasting wear (up to 1–2 weeks).
Apply a thin, even layer of glue to your natural nail.
Add a small amount to the back of the press-on nail as well.
Work one nail at a time so the glue doesn’t dry before placing it.
Align the press-on with your cuticle and press down firmly for 10–15 seconds.
Tip: A thinner layer of glue gives a cleaner, longer-lasting finish.
4. To Finish (Glue Only)
If any glue squeezes out around the edges, gently wipe it away with a cuticle stick before it dries. This keeps everything looking neat and professional.

Your fresh set is on — now go live your cute little life.
Avoid water, steam, or lotions for the first 1–2 hours after application for the best hold.
REMOVAL: STICKY TABS & GLUE
Prepare a bowl of warm water, a little dishwashing liquid, and oil (use extra oil for glue).
Soak your hands for 10–20 minutes. (sticky tabs lift faster, glue may take a little longer)
Check edges with a cuticle stick and gently wiggle to loosen.
• For glue: If it’s not lifting, soak for another 5–10 minutes.
Once they start lifting, gently remove each nail—never pull.
Remove any leftover sticky tabs or gently buff off glue from natural nails.
Wash hands, lightly buff if needed, and finish with cuticle oil.

• Warm (not hot) water protects reusable nails.
• More oil = easier + more hydrating.
• Wait for natural lifting before trying to remove.
